8 drug suspects arrested in Altoona, 3 more remain at large

By: WJAC Web Staff

Eight people suspected of dealing drugs were arrested after a three-day bust in Altoona, while three more suspects remained at large as of Thursday.

The Pennsylvania Attorney General's Office said those arrested are facing drug charges after a sting operation conducted from Monday through Wednesday.

Most of the suspects were arrested on heroin-related charges, but officials said other drugs were involved.

Investigators said many of the suspects are accused of delivering drugs in neighborhoods where residents called the Push Out The Pusher hotline. Operation Out Town helped finance the investigations.

Arrest warrants are still out for Melissa Schuler, Kenneth Rohrer and Lance Karstetter.

Anyone with information on the suspects is asked to call Altoona police at 814-949-2489.
