Holiday displays from 60 years ago, restored, now on display

JOHNSTOWN, Pa.-- There are some vintage holiday scenes now on display in downtown Johnstown.

In 2012, AmeriServ found the window displays from Glosser Brothers and Penn Traffic department stores and had them restored by a local artist.

The company said it is about bringing the history back to the community.

We think theyre about 60 years old, said CEO AmeriServ financial Glenn Wilson. Did the TLC to all the work on these.

You can see the displays in the AmeriServ lobby at the downtown Johnstown office at the corner of main and Franklin Streets.

The lobby is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
