Election Day expected to be quiet, low turnout

By Erin Calandra

BELLEFONTE, Pa. -- November 5th is Election Day.

Its the day voters pick judges, district attorneys, supervisor and council seats, along with school board members.

Election supervisors said they don't expect long lines.

Historically the voters, not just locally but state-wide have a low turn-out," said Joyce McKinley, Director of Elections and Voter Registration in Center County.

She said there are some hot races this year in her county.

"Penns Valley school board, State College mayor, district judge."

But that doesn't matter to some people. Brian Huckman is from Penns Valley.  He said he isnt even registered to vote.

I don't think any politicians are for the people I think too much corruption all for money, Huckman said.

Not only are voters expected to be short at the polls, but ballets may be skimpy too McKinley said.
