Fire destroys Potter Township business

CENTRE COUNTY, Pa. -- Smoke and flames engulfed a Centre County business Sunday night, leaving it a total loss.

The fire at Scottys Landscaping in Potter Township is what crews were battling all night Sunday.

Police said the flames were shooting through the roof of the garage.

Inside, there were company trucks and fuel.

The fire chief called in hazmat to take care of the fuel inside the building.

Police said additional tankers had to be called in because of the strong winds and water shortage.

We have no cause of the origin yet, said the Chief of Centre Hall Fire Company Harry Hockenberry.

A second fire sprang up in the woods nearby and crews had to get it under control.

No one was injured in the fire.
