Goodwill gets $10,000 grant for mentor program from AT&T


Goodwills Goodfutures Mentoring Experience Program has been up and running for four years.

Recently, the Goodwill of the Conemaugh Valley received a $10,000 grant from AT&T.

The grant will be used for its mentoring program. AT&T said the grant was ideal for the organization because its an investment into young people.

The program helps at-risk teens between ages 13 and 18. It gives students an opportunity for career exploration and keeps them in high school.

The program is still in dire need of mentors, there are more than 40 kids on a waiting list to get into the program.
