3 injured in Centre Co. crash

RUSH TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- A roadway in Centre County has reopened following a crash Thursday afternoon.

State police said three women were injured in the single-vehicle crash that happened at about 1:30 p.m. along Route 322 in Rush Township, just outside of Philipsburg.

Police said the vehicle crashed into a tree and the women were trapped inside the wreckage when emergency crews arrived at the scene.

Police said two women were flown by medical helicopter to UPMC Altoona for treatment and were listed in critical condition. The third was taken by ambulance to an area hospital in an unknown condition.

An accident reconstruction team was called in to investigate the crash and other details were not immediately available.
