Police search for driver in Cambria Co. hit-and-run

By: Marc Stempka

CARROLLTOWN, Pa. -- Police are searching for the driver and vehicle allegedly involved in a hit-and-run crash in Cambria County.

Carrolltown police investigated the crash on Old Dutch Lane at about 1:45 p.m. Monday.

Police said a silver or gray Chevrolet pickup truck was likely involved in the crash. Police said it would probably have damage to the front of the vehicle and that the tailgate was damaged and hanging.

Police said the vehicle hit and snapped a utility pole in half, causing service disruptions for several hours to Penelec, Verizon and Comcast customers in the area.

Anyone with information about the vehicle or crash was asked to contact Carrolltown police at 814-344-6400.
