Locked out Penelec workers picketed with families

BLAIR COUNTY, Pa. -- Families of Penelec workers who are locked out in Blair County picketed on Logan Valley Boulevard Saturday.

More than 125 workers remain locked out from Penelec's parent company First Energy.

Members of the union voted down the contract offered two weeks ago.

Today members said they wanted to bring out their families to show how many people the lockout is impacting.

"Support us to do the jobs that we do," said Local Union President Robert Wheland.

"Put you out in the street at the holidays," said locked out worker T.J. Mickel.

"Want to go to work and are willing to," said Locked out worker Joe Tackett.

Monday, Dec. 9., there is a meeting at Penelec scheduled for the morning.
