Police investigating attempted robbery at Cambria Co. restaurant

LOWER YODER TOWNSHIP, Pa. Police are investigating the attempted robbery of a restaurant in Cambria County.

Police said they were called to a reported robbery at Capri Pizza in the 1700 block of Goucher Street in Upper Yoder Township just after 2 p.m.

West Hills Regional police said a woman was arrested for allegedly trying to rob the business.

The owner said a woman came into the store with her hood over her head.

Police said she demanded cash from the register, claiming she had a weapon and she would shoot him.

The owner said he jumped across the counter and grabbed her. She did not have a weapon.

After seeing the incident another employee contacted 911 and thats when police arrived.

Police said they were preparing criminal charges and the name cannot be released until she was formerly arraigned.
