By: WJAC Web Staff

BROOKVILLE, Pa. -- On Aug. 21, 2013, unit members from the Jefferson County Drug Task Force began an investigation for distribution of methamphetamine in the Brookville area.

The investigation exposed that April Novak, 43, Michael Novak, 22, and Dean Paige, 52,  were manufacturing methamphetamine and distributing methamphetamine throughout Jefferson County.

Numerous purchases at the 9000 block of Richardsville Road in Brookville were made from Paige and Novak during the past four months.

On Thursday, Jan. 9, a search warrant was obtained and an active methamphetamine lab was located inside the garage at the residence, in addition to Paige and April Novak.

Paige, April Novak and Michael Novak were placed in Jefferson County Jail in lieu of $50,000 straight cash bail.

Additional charges are pending.
