Police take woman to hospital after drug overdose

By: WJAC Web Staff

SOMERSET, Pa. -- Police said they went to the 1000 Block of Village Way, Somerset, for a welfare check after a man was seen being carried out of the residence for an alleged drug overdose.  Concern rose when the woman who occupied the residence overdosed as well.

Police said Autumn Didonne was located in an upstairs bathroom after several attempts to contact her were unsuccessful.

Didonne appeared to be under the influence of an unknown substance, later determined to be heroin, police said.

Police said they then searched her apartment after they found several empty stamp bags, and needles used to transport and inject heroin.

Police said they found used needles, empty stamp bags; tie offs and spoons in the apartment.

Didonne denied using the drug but then later admitted to it, said police.

Police said Didonne had fresh needle marks on her left arm, which was bleeding when they arrived. Police took her to the hospital as a precaution.
