Drugs one man purchased lead to woman overdosing

By: WJAC Web Staff

FERGUSON TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- Police said Ryan Kemp bought heroin and invited a woman, 21, in January to a home on Fairbrook Drive.

Kemp is accused of delivering heroin and clonazepam to the woman, which caused her to overdose and die, police said.

Police said Kemp and the woman shot up in the home, watched a movie, then fell asleep. When Kemp woke up the woman was dead.

There was no trace of the heroin being laced with fentanyl which resulted in multiple deaths in the Pittsburgh area around the same time.

The Centre County coroners office said the woman died of an overdose.

Kemp is in the Centre County Jail on $500,000 bail; his hearing is set for Wednesday, March 26.
