Log truck rolls over while exiting Blair Co. highway

By: WJAC Web Staff

FREEDOM TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- A log truck overturned in Blair County, spilling its timber and forcing the closure of a highway offramp.

State police at Hollidaysburg said Marlin Kauffman, 42, was traveling too fast while exiting Interstate 99 south at the Roaring Spring interchange (Exit 23) at about 7:15 a.m. Monday, causing him to lose control of his truck and roll it onto its side.

Police said Kauffman suffered minor injuries in the crash and that he was wearing his seat belt.

Another truck was brought in to transfer the logs, officials said. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
