Penn State pageant raises money for Relay for Life

By: Lauren Hensley

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. -- Wednesday night, six Penn State men competed for the title Mr. Think Pink. It is a pageant all to raise money for Relay for Life.

Pageant contestants strutted their stuff in formal wear, sports attire and had to showcase a talent. Tickets cost $7 and all the money goes towards Relay for Life and the American Cancer Society. Relay for Life is a 24-hour walk-a-thon.

"Events like this obviously raise a lot of money. We try and have fundraisers like this all throughout the year and every little effort helps," said Courtney Zeuner, of Relay for Life. "Last year we raised $137,000 and this year we are hoping to break that and our real goal this year is to raise $150,000."

Penn State University's Relay for Life will take place April 5-6. Jesse Marks walked away the big winner, being named Mr. Think Pink.
