PORTER TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- Clinton County officials have released the names of two men who were hit and killed by a truck along an interstate.

Clinton County Coroner Zach Hanna said David Gallegos Flores and Jesus Chavez Jr., both of Balitmore, were stuck and killed near the Lamar exit on Interstate 80 westbound Thursday morning.

Investigators were continuing to look into why the men were on the highway at about 3 a.m. in Porter Township.

Police said the tractor-trailer driver, Carlos Freitas-Diaz, 41, of Arlington, N.J., was not injured and that he was traveling between 60 and 65 mph at the time of the crash.

Hanna said both men died at the scene as the result of blunt for trauma. Police said the investigation was ongoing.
