East stepping up for Lady Lions

UNIVERSITY PARK -- Penn State senior forward Talia East is a major reason why the Lady Lions are still alive in the NCAA Women's Tournament.

East, one of Penn State's emotional leaders, scored 13 points in Sunday's first round win comeback win over Wichita State, a game the Lady Lions trailed by as much as 11 in the first half. She also pitched in with 13 rebounds and two blocked shots.

The Lady Lions look to punch their ticket to the Sweet 16 on Tuesday when they host 11-seed Florida at thr Bryce Jordan Center, and East says she's looking to make the most of her time left in a Penn State jersey. Her teammates can see that she is stepping up at the right time.
