This week, Channel 6 News tries SWYPEOUT, an upgradable battle car racing game. The game's recommended for ages 8 and up and is rated E for everybody.

Inside the package, there is a CD, a swipetech scanner and five digital upgrade cards.

Players build their own customizable car, take turns on practice tracks trying to master the keyboard to drive their new creation before heading out on the track, destroying obstacles and avoiding landmines.

SWYPEOUT prompts kids under the age of 13 to enter a parent's or guardian's email for verification.

If you're looking to buy the game, it will cost about $20 for the starter package, additional SWYPEOUT booster packs run just under $8.

Channel 6's tester gave SWYPEOUT a thumbs up.
