San Antonio, TX -- (Sports Network) - Becky Hammon scored 27 points to lead the San Antonio Silver Stars to their fifth straight victory, beating the New York Liberty 83-79.

Sophia Young added 23 points, while Ann Wauters scored 16 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to keep San Antonio atop the Western Conference standings.

Shameka Christon scored 27 points for the Liberty, who have alternated wins and losses for the last 10 games. Janel McCarville added 15 points and Tiffany Jackson had 14 points for New York.
