Christon, McCarville Lead Liberty Past Dream

Atlanta, GA -- (Sports Network) - Shameka Christon scored a game-high 24 points and Janel McCarville added 22 points and 10 rebounds as the New York Liberty defeated the Atlanta Dream, 86-76, in the last game for both clubs before the monthlong Olympic break.Christon finished 8-of-18 from the floor, including 3-of-8 from three-point distance, while Lisa Willis chipped in with 11 points and Cathrine Kraayeveld had 10 for the Liberty, who have won three in a row and six of their last seven. Betty Lennox scored a team-high 18 points off the bench, while Ivory Latta had 14 points and Iziane Castro Marques had 11 for Atlanta, which has lost five straight and seven of its last eight.
