Leslie, Parker Lead Sparks Over Lynx In OT

Sunday, July 27, 2008

(Sports Network) - Lisa Leslie and Candace Parker each scored 23 points and recorded a double-double, as the Los Angeles Sparks needed overtime to notch a 92-84 win over the Minnesota Lynx in the last game for both clubs before the monthlong Olympic break.

Leslie hauled in 12 rebounds and Parker had 10 for the Sparks, who outscored the Lynx 8-0 in the extra session. DeLisha Milton added 18 points and Shannon Bobbitt recorded 10 assists and seven points as Los Angeles snapped a two-game slide.

Seimone Augustus had a game-high 29 points, but it wasn't enough to prevent Minnesota from having its two-game win streak snapped. Charde Houston scored 15 points off the bench, but no other Lynx player reached double-figure scoring. Lindsey Harding had eight assists to go with seven points for Minnesota.
